My 2005 in cycling

It was a good year for cycling. No scrub that, it was a great year! I managed to cycle a full Super Randoneur series (a 200km, 300km, 400km and 600km brevet) in the season, adding a second 200km and 600km. I did 3 cyclosportif events; Ronde van Vlaanderen (256km course), Limburgsmooiste (it was supposed to be the 250km but I got confused on the course and only did 220km) and Liege-Bastogne-Liege (235km course). And also the tour version of the Elfstedentocht around the 11 Fries cities, doing all 240km with 15,000 other cyclists on the most horrible late Spring day that I could imagine. Adding to that I followed the Tour de France through the French Alps and went over the highest cols of the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean in 100 hours. Plus I really got into cycling to work and found a cool 30km route to follow.

Month by month the breakdown of kilometers...

January - 890km (890km)

February - 1120km (2010km)

March - 1239km (3249km)

April - 1543km (4792km)

September - 641km (12331km)

October - 420km (12751km)

November - 660km (13411km)

December - 660km (14071km)
