Lake Bafa

After a late start (it's so easy to get comfortable at a real home) & a tour around the area where Ann & Graham live I set off in the direction of Lake Bafa.

Lake Bafa was once the shore of the Aegean, but silting up rivers turned it into lake. The lake shore front was hardly developed, even on the side of the main highway South-East to the vacation resorts of Bodrum etc. On the other side the was absolutely no development at all.

I found a great campsite in a field just above a small natural harbour, looking across to the ruins of a castle & the Sun setting over the lake. It was a shame that I had to spend time setting up camp & couldn't watch the Sun go completely down. It was a real picture.

I cycled 37km in 2 hours & 14 minutes
