Bozava

A combination of a drop in altitude & a tailwind was great in the morning as I dropped down to the shore of the Atatürk dam. However I ran out of altitude to lose & a change of direction turned my tailwind into a headwind.

The Atatürk dam is a massive hydroelectric project on the Euphretes river. This river has been an axis of life for thousands of years & the lake created by the dam flooded a number of archeological sites as well raising concerns with downstream neighbours.

I camped on the shore of the lake at Bozara. It wasn't a great spot the land around the lake had no natural vegetation.

I cycled 108km in 7 hours & 19 minutes
